James Anthony “Tony” Reid, age 63, born in Mobile, AL and a resident of the White House Fork Community in Bay Minette, AL passed away on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, at his home.
Tony was born on October 15, 1961. He graduated from Baldwin County High School in 1980. He was a long-time employee of Winn Dixie and worked his way up from a meat cutter to the Meat Market Manager. He then worked at various grocery stores in the meat department and, later in life, worked as an electrical apprentice.
Tony enjoyed fishing, hunting, and being on the river. He loved Alabama football and watching Nascar. His favorite store was Bass Pro Shop. In the past few years, he has enjoyed watching his grandchildren at their sporting events. He would always bring his favorite bucket to sit on as he cheered on the sidelines.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Jenita Faye Reid, and grandmother, Claudia Joiner.
He is survived by his three daughters, Jennifer (Garrett) Shariat-zadeh of Saraland, AL, Amanda (Brody) Smith of Mobile, AL and Bethany Brooke Reid of Mobile, AL; his brother Keith Duane Reid of Bay Minette, AL; his three grandchildren, Hannah Rose Shariat-zadeh, Jeremiah Kai Shariat-zadeh, and Gabriel Eric Smith; his two nieces, Britnie Dawn Reid and Jacque Faye Reid; and his nephew Austin David Reid.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service celebrating the life of Tony at Live Oak Landing, 8700 Live Oak Road in Stockton, AL on Saturday, February 8, 2025, at 2:30pm. Visitation with the family will begin at 2pm with the celebration of life following at 2:30pm.
