Erin lived a wild life, with a big heart and an open-door kind of love. She never met a stranger or an environment she wasn’t comfortable in. She was not always easy to love. She lived through and survived so much, it made her rough around the edges. But it also made her funny . . . darkly, intensely funny. If you had any sort of long text exchange with her you probably aren’t running for any public office - ever.
The hardest part of the time since her death is the silence. I used to roll my eyes at the volume of texts and now I cry because there are none.
Erin loved music her whole life. We’ve found some comfort is sharing songs she either loved or that make us think of her. If you were around her enough you were definitely aware of her love
for Radiohead and for Tool.
Erin is preceded in death by her son Nevius Keenan Nelson and her daughter Aurora Tuck. She is survived by her son Wylder Wyatt, her daughter Lyric Tuck, and her fur baby Marsha. She is also survived by and enormous constellation of family and friends who loved her and will miss her deeply.
I will think of her often but for certain anytime something really makes me laugh.
In lieu of flowers please honor Erin by telling the most inappropriate joke you know to a
stranger.
