Dan was truly larger than life. He could light up a room simply by walking into it, and his generous heart made everyone around him feel welcome and loved. He loved his family fiercely, laughed loudly, and lived his life unapologetically.
A 1983 graduate of Strong Vincent High School in Erie, Dan was an avid athlete who played water polo, baseball, and football. After making Fairhope his home, he devoted nearly two decades to the City of Fairhope before retiring. He also proudly served his community as a Fairhope Volunteer Firefighter.
Dan was a devoted father to Victoria “Tori” Colelli and Kayla Laskowski (Barri). He was the proudest “Papa D” to his grandchildren, Nolan Laskowski and Camilla “Millie” Colelli. He adored his family and his beloved dogs Coco, Ralph, and Penny.
Dan was a passionate Pittsburgh Steelers and Ohio State Buckeyes fan, Jeopardy’s number one fan, and a dedicated Wordle player. He loved a good challenge and rarely encountered a question he couldn’t answer.
His lifelong friendships with Bobby Tirpak, John Crowley, and Gary Steudler were among the many treasures of his life.
Dan is survived by his daughters, grandchildren, his father Daniel Feldmann, siblings Donald Feldmann, Danette Jiuliante (David), and Timothy Feldmann, and his former wife and mother of his children, Dawn Colelli along with extended family and countless friends who loved him dearly.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Joseph Mastery and Ester Mastery; his mother, Michele “Mick” Feldmann; and his beloved soul dog, Big Ben Colelli.
Dan leaves behind a lifetime of laughter, love, friendship, and unforgettable memories. When you think of Dan, raise your glass, tell a story, cheer for the Steelers, watch Jeopardy, or play a round of Wordle.
Cheers to Dan—a man who was larger than life, loved even bigger, and will never be forgotten.
