Colleen M Kessler

Colleen Morgridge Kessler of Lucedale, Ms. passed away on January 24th, 2026 at the age of 91. She was born on June 15, 1934 in Michigan. She graduated from Portland High School in Portland. She worked for many years at Southeastern Bell and then at Lago Mar Beach Resort in Ft. Lauderdale, Fl.

Colleen loved her dogs and competed in many dog shows. For her 85th birthday, she went skydiving for the first time and loved it. She was a long-time member of Eastern Star, where she loved all of her sisters. She was also lifetime member of the Shetland Sheepdog of South Florida and an active member of the Telephone Pioneers of America. She was a member of Caswell Methodist Church and First United Methodist Church of Ft. Lauderdale.

She is preceded in death by her father Leonard David Morgridge, her mother Crystal Marie Kelley, her daughter Deborah A. Adam, her son David Rex Archer, and a brother Dale Morgridge.

She is survived by her granddaughter Dawn Marie (Adam) Perryman, her husband Franklin, great-grandchildren Kirsten Marie Perryman, Jody Dewayne Perryman, and Kaylen Nicole Perryman; her brother Wayne (Nancy) Morgridge; sister Jean (Lyle) Hummel; sister Kathleen Hammel, as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Her family was everything to her. She loved everyone.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life Memorial at Caswell Methodist Church on Sunday February 8th, 2026 at 3 p.m.
