Cecelia Ann Dawson

She graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi and later earned a master’s degree from Livingston University. Cecelia devoted her entire career to teaching in Alabama public schools, later serving as Title I Facilitator at Mertz Elementary School in Mobile County. She truly cared about the hundreds of students she taught over the years, and it showed in the way they appreciate her even today.

Cecelia loved gardening and crocheting, and treasured her relationship with God.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Elbert Nash “Butch” Dawson, Jr., and her son, Eric Shannon Dawson. She is survived by her daughter, Maria Inez Dawson.
