William “OO” Ummelmann passed away at his home on October 28, 2021, surrounded by his family. Bill was born in St. Louis, MO on March 19, 1941, to Harold K and Ethel Ummelmann. He was preceded in death by his father Harold, mother Ethel, and his aunt Ruth Jordan. Bill is survived by his wife Pamela, his daughter Laurel(Scot) Mosher of St. Charles, MO, son William Todd(Lara) Ummelmann of Smithville, MO. Grandchildren Sam, Jake & Claire Mosher, Tanner, and Kathryn Lehmann.
Bill was a lifelong lover of the Mississippi River. He spent many hours boating, water skiing, fishing, and swimming in the river. He spent several years as a Regional Sales Manager In the waste management business. Later in life, he was able to follow his passion for boats and water and became a Boat Salesman at Lake Of The Ozarks.
But, what Bill was most proud of was his family. His kids Laurel and Todd and his grandchildren. When he heard the words PaPa Bill his face lit up. He loved going to his kid's & grandkids' activities. He was their biggest and loudest supporter in the audience.
He loved to write inspirational and motivational notes to friends and family and he encouraged everyone he knew to write letters. He was a man of strong faith and leaned on that faith greatly throughout the years. He will be missed by all that knew and loved him.
Funeral Services will be held on November 13, 2021, at 11:00 am at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 115 South Sixth Street, St. Charles, MO. Visitation is prior to the service starting at 9:30 am until the time of service. There will be a luncheon served in the Fellowship Hall after the service.
