Born on October 12, 1936, in Lawrenceton, Missouri, LeAnn lived a life defined by faith, family, service, and quiet strength.
She was the beloved wife of the late Donald Bernard Louis. Married on May 11, 1957, they shared nearly 69 years of unwavering love and partnership, building a family that became the center of their lives.
LeAnn was a devoted mother to her children: Linda (Tom Ferris), Karen (Mike Koehneman), Greg (Nancy Stiffler), Paul (Lori Shambro), and Bill (Laura Howie). She was a proud and loving grandmother to Joel Koehneman, Dave Koehneman, Bryan Ferris, Marc Ferris, Rob Koehneman, Dylan Louis, Jesse Louis Barnard, Zach Louis, McKenzie Louis, Aidan Louis, and Max Louis. She was also blessed with ten great-grandchildren, each of whom brought her immense joy.
LeAnn possessed a quiet strength that anchored her family through every season of life. She was the steady presence everyone could count on—the rock upon which so much of her family was built. While she rarely sought attention for herself, her wisdom, resilience, and unconditional love shaped the lives of those around her in countless ways.
Her deep Catholic faith guided her throughout her life. It informed how she cared for others, how she faced challenges, and how she approached each day with grace and humility. Her faith was not only something she believed; it was something she lived.
LeAnn found great fulfillment in serving others through her volunteer work with Meals on Wheels, sharing not only meals but also kindness, compassion, and friendship with those in need. She believed in helping people quietly and selflessly, reflecting the values that defined her life.
Though she deeply mourned the loss of Don just one month ago, there is comfort in knowing that after nearly seven decades together, they are reunited once again.
She will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever held in our hearts.
