With deep love and heavy hearts, we mourn the passing of Jolene Laura Jane Harrison, affectionately known as "Janie" to her friends and family. She departed this world on February 22, 2025, at St. Clare Hospital in Fenton, MO, due to complications from dementia.
Born on September 28, 1937, in Kennett, MO, Janie was the daughter of Everette and Lillian Waltman, who preceded her in death along with her beloved younger siblings, Jerry, Tony, Teddy.
She is survived by her loving children Judy, Debbie, Lora, and Jeffery, as well as her grandchildren: Victoria, Jason, Jon, Brandi, Kristain, Tiffany, Robert, Niki, Eric, Ian, Joseph, Sandra, and Jeffery. She was a devoted great-grandmother to Kaelyn, Dylan, Brynnen, Logan, Marah, Kaeden, Logan, Mattox, Wyatt, Willow, Alex, Charlie, and Elaina, and a cherished great-great-grandmother to Estella, Daphne, and Davina.
Janie shared 56 wonderful years of marriage with her loving husband, Bill Harrison. Together, they spent 15 years in Owensville, MO, before retiring to Florida, where they spent 31 joyful years basking in the sun, walking the beaches, and surrounding themselves with love and friendship.
A woman of style, class, and grace, Janie had a sassy wit and sharp humor that made her truly unforgettable. A social butterfly, she effortlessly formed lifelong friendships, leaving an impression on everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
As the matriarch of her family, she was a tireless and determined force in all she did. A cancer survivor, she faced life’s challenges with unwavering resilience and unshakable strength. Stubborn yet loving, sassy yet kind, she was deeply devoted to her family, who will forever cherish her memory.
Janie will be laid to rest alongside her beloved husband, Bill, at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family invites donations to the Dementia Society of America in her honor.
She will be deeply missed but never forgotten—her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who loved her.
