Fred Jewell Taylor

July 6, 1950 – September 15, 2026

With heavy hearts, yet with gratitude for the many years, memories, and moments we were blessed to share, we announce the passing of our beloved Fred Jewell Taylor, affectionately known to his family as “Twister.” Fred departed this life on September 15, 2026, leaving behind a family who loved him dearly and will miss him beyond words.

Fred was born on July 6, 1950, to the late Pauline and Willie Taylor. He was preceded in death by his parents; his two sisters, Mary Lewis and Marie Turner; and his four brothers, Paul Jr., George, James, and Willie B.

Fred leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish his memory, his laughter, his personality, and the special way he brought joy into their lives.

To know Fred was to know laughter. His family lovingly called him “Twister,” a name that became as much a part of him as his unforgettable personality. Fred loved to dance, and he could always be counted on for a joke, a funny story, or something unexpected that would have everyone around him laughing. His humor had a way of brightening the room, and those moments will now become treasured memories that his family will carry in their hearts forever.
