Donald Lee Mitchell, 71 of Cape Girardeau, Missouri passed on January 11, 2024 at St. Francis Medical Center. He was born on November 7, 1952 in Norfolk, Virginia to John and Marion (Slaughter) Mitchell. Donald and his two brothers grew up in Norfolk with Donald joining the United States Army right out high school and serving his country proudly in South Korea.
After the leaving the military he became a forklift operator until his retirement. Donald enjoyed watching sports of all types his favorites being football, basketball and nascar. He was a member of the Faith Landmarks Ministries in Richmond, Virginia.
Donald was predeceased by his parents John S. Mitchell and Marion McDaniel.
He leaves behind his partner, Ann Mitchell, brothers, Ronnie Mitchell (Annette) and Edwin Mitchell (Sandi).
