Born on September 20, 2006, in Mobile, AL, Aislynn was the beloved daughter of Terence Hamilton Hensley and Rebecca Lea (Pierce) Hensley. She was a devoted sister to Elliot Grant Hensley and a cherished granddaughter to Jerry Pierce and Paul and Marsha Tillman, as well as a large extended family.
Aislynn dedicated her life to serving her God, Jehovah. She was baptized on October 30, 2022 and found deep fulfillment in helping others, serving in the full-time ministry as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. She loved animals, especially her bearded dragon, Dino Nugget, and found joy in caring fro them as a vet tech at Woodland Animal Hospital.
Aislynn (Ace) was the coolest person in the room—amazing, unique, spiritual, and unforgettable. She was origami and taxidermy, Dr. Martens and sunflower dresses, knives and glass paintings—a silly girl and a confident, beautiful young woman. She had a gift for making instant connections with people of all ages, whether through a thoughtful gift, a good conversation, a witty reply, a silly joke, or simply her contagious smile.
Throughout her battle with leukemia, Aislynn remained an inspiration to all who knew her. Her unwavering faith and strength left a lasting impact on her family, friends, and caregivers.
A memorial service to honor Aislynn’s life will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in California, MO, on February 15 at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to JW.org or GoFundMe.
Her family wishes to express their deepest gratitude to the doctors, nurses, and staff at Barnes-Jewish West County Hospital for their dedication and compassionate care. They also extend heartfelt thanks to the brothers who worked tirelessly on her behalf, as well as to all the friends and family who were by her side throughout this journey.
Aislynn will be deeply missed, but her faithful example will live on in all who knew her.
“For I am convinced that neither death nor life nor angels nor governments nor things now here nor things to come nor powers nor height nor depth nor any other creation will be able to separate us from God’s love that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” - Romans 8:38,39
