I am so saddened by Tommy’s passing. It is the end of an era that I will always treasure. (Tommy, Sonny, Kathryn). We have so many memories. 
I am so sorry for your loss. I know how much you miss him and will miss him. May God comfort you knowing he is with all of our angels in heaven.

I met Tom when he and my dad, Dick Foiles worked together at Continental Trailways in Brownsville.  Tom was such a kind and caring soul.  Prayers for peace and comfort.

Tom Champion was a great friend who I first got to know when I was sent to the Rio Gran Valley in 1984 by President Reagan to deal with significant problems affecting the Valley. Tom chaired our Valley Action Committee and  was instrumental in seeing that needed relief was provided to the Valley. He was respected by all in the Valley and all who worked with him at that time  in the federal government I relied on his judgment. We have been friends ever since. I talked with him a week before he died. May his soul Rest in Peace.

My heart goes out to Tommy’s lovely family.  
He will be in my heart forever.

We had the opportunity and pleasure of meeting Mr. Tommy while working at his home my grandmother, my mother, and I and we are deeply saddened by his passing. He was a very kind and special person to us; he always welcomed us with great kindness, made us feel like part of his family, and treated us with a respect and affection we will never forget. 
We grew very fond of him and will always be grateful for the respect and kindness he showed us. We will miss him dearly. We send our sincerest condolences and a warm hug.

I had the pleasure to meet Mr Champion in 1974 in Brownsville TX. He opened the door for me and many other Bus Drivers to join Continental Trailways, my deepest condolences and prayers to the Champion Family, may God bless you all

Dear Family,  Tommy will surely be missed. Every time he  walk through the doors at Las Palmas Restaurant in Rancho Viejo, he greeted everyone with a kind heart and smile. Indeed his personal preceded him. God rest his soul. Our condolences!

Beto’s Restaurant in Mercedes was always a favorite breakfast spot for Tommy, S.A., Uncle Rudy Garza and anyone else they could circle up for a visit.

Tommy was a terrific cousin-one of a very few Uncle Rudy Garza from Mercedes let in his inner circle. 
Tommy worked very hard and was dedicated for anyone in his family and extended family & friends.
He also was a dedicated business man and worked across a number of different businesses and built a network of colleagues in various industries. It seemed he could drive anywhere at any hour to help family, friends and associates in need or for business.

My dad-S.A.Garza and our family always enjoyed our visits with Tommy. He always lifted spirits for whoever he was with; but, he also was quick to lend an ear for any one who might need a thoughtful adviser. He was a “Fixer”, for anyone with a challenge and willing to go the distance to help.

I can only image the Fiesta in heaven awaiting Tommy; man…Tia Lincha and Uncle Tom, Clarence and Lila Champion, Uncle Rudy and Licha-we all should expect a lively Christmas with those spirits dancing above us. Love you, miss you Tommy Champion🙏
