James Lloyd Musser

James proudly served his country in the United States Naval Reserve from 1954 to 1962. His years of service reflected a strong sense of duty, responsibility, and commitment—qualities that remained evident throughout his life.

On November 21, 1959, James married the love of his life, Delores Dagley. Their marriage spanned more than sixty-six years and stood as a testament to enduring love, loyalty, and partnership. Together, they built a family and a life grounded in dedication to God and one another.

James spent his professional career in sales, working with companies including Lance, Champion, Essex, and Monroe, part of Tenneco Automotive. Known for his strong work ethic and reliability, he built lasting relationships throughout his career and took pride in providing for his family.

He is survived by his wife, Delores Musser; his children, James “J.G.” Musser (Glenda) and Todd Musser (Brenda); his grandchildren, Natalie McGee (Joseph), Rheegan Mengers (Zachary), Rhett Musser (Morgan), Rhiley Musser (fiancé Addisyn Stueler), Sophia Musser, and Julianna Musser; and his great-grandchildren, Carson McGee, Wyatt McGee, Riggs Mengers, Wells Mengers, Ottlie Mengers, and Parker Musser.

He was preceded in death by his children, Leslie Musser Couch (Danny) and Mark Musser, and by his brother, Bill Musser.

He is also survived by his sisters, Carol Meacham (Larry), Brenda Foster (Rick †), and Linda Peters (Don †), along with many close and dear nieces and nephews and extended family members who held a special place in his heart.

James will be remembered for his steady presence, dedication to family, and the legacy of integrity and strength he leaves behind. He now rests in the care of his Lord and Savior. A memorial service will be held at Central Church of Christ in Victoria, Texas, on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at 2:00 p.m.
