Wilda Jean Moore

She is survived by her daughter Ronda Beattie, granddaughters Ione Gray and Kenda James, a grandson Chance Black, and an older sister Ione Todd and two younger brothers Carl Moore and John Moore . One son Kevin Dizmang pre-deceased her in 2022. Wilda was the fourth in a family of six siblings.

Wilda Married the love of her life Carl Eugene Dizmang Aug 9, 1947 in Goodland, Kansas and they later adopted Ronda and Kevin. Carl passed away unexpectedly in 1964 at the age of 38. This left Wilda to raise two small children alone. With opportunities limited in her hometown she moved to Colorado Springs, and she made that her permanent residence. Wilda was employed in the Colorado Springs school district and the Colorado Springs Police Department retiring from the police department.

As a young girl Wilda learned to play piano by ear. Her husband Carl Dizmang came from a musical family and could play several string instruments. Both were quite good at singing. At one time Carl and Wilda had a radio show on the local radio station playing and singing songs. They also performed at numerous local dances. Wilda loved to dance. Wilda was also very proficient at cake decorating and loved having family at her house for a holiday dinner. She will be missed by many.
