Lova Lee Bonnewell

Lova, known to most as Lee, was born January 26, 1933 to Mary Luella Martin and Lee Arthur Martin in Wakita, Oklahoma.

Family was everything to Lee and after raising five children, she opened her home to her two granddaughters, Heather and Brianya and raised them when most would have been thinking of retirement.

In 2019 She moved from her home of 35 years in McKinney, Texas to Fountain, Colorado where she lived with her daughter, Melva. She made new friends and enjoyed playing Hand and Foot at the Fountain Valley Senior Center every Thursday.

Lee was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Margrett Ann Owens, brother-in-law Walter Jackson Owens, son Martin Owens, daughter Tracy Lee Bonnewell, daughter-in-law Darsa Lynn Owens, and son-in-law Billy Edwards.

Survived by son Michael Lynn Owens, daughter Marcia Ann Backes, husband Carl, and daughter Melva Suzann Edwards. She was the proud grandmother of 9, great grandmother of 21, great great grandmother of 2, and aunt to many nieces and nephews.
