She was a bright, strong, independent, worldly, resilient woman with a deep love of family. Jean retired to Florida following her Parkinson's diagnosis in 2002. Having lived in South America and Europe in her earlier years, Jean's broad view and passion for the world's cultures lead her to travel globally by air and sea. Jean was a supporter and devotee of theater and the arts. As her eyesight failed, Jean relocated to Austin, Texas to be closer to family. She passed peacefully in Colorado Springs while visiting family. A Celebration of Life will be held in Largo, Florida at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations in tribute to Jean's memory to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research.
