Dennis Warren Ashbrook

Born on July 8, 1952, in Pueblo, Colorado, Dennis was the son of Walter J. Ashbrook Sr. and Gladys L. Ashbrook. He was preceded in death by his father, his mother, his brother Gerald L. Ashbrook, his brother W. James Ashbrook, his great-nephew Nick, and his longtime partner, Robert L. Barr.

Dennis graduated from Pueblo County High School in 1970 and earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from CSU–Pueblo in 1974.

He is lovingly remembered by his family, including his nephew Doug (Stacy) Ashbrook of Lipan, Texas; his niece Dana Malagisi of Englewood, Florida; and many beloved extended family members.

Dennis found joy in life’s quieter moments, especially at the family cabin in Pitkin and in caring for his tomato garden. He also treasured time with his close friends from Kohl’s.

Dennis will be remembered for his steady presence, his love of family, and the warmth he brought into the lives of others.

The family extends heartfelt thanks to Sangre de Cristo Community Care and his dear friend Laurie for their compassion and support.

A small family and friends celebration of life will be held this summer in Pitkin. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Sangre de Cristo Community Care.
