William "Bill" Leonard Wolfe passed peacefully into heaven on March 6, 2025. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, Bill’s warmth, kindness, and inventive spirit touched countless lives.
For 60 wonderful years, he shared an unbreakable bond with his beloved wife, Bonnie. He was a proud and loving father to Larry, Cindy, and Michelle, and found endless joy in his six grandchildren—Dylan, Emily, Brianna, Daniel, Blake, and Kady Rose. His brother Martin and sister Debbie were lifelong sources of love and companionship.
Bill had a long and accomplished career at Grumman, where he spent decades solving complex engineering and technical challenges, leaving a lasting impact on the field. A natural-born innovator, he was always creating, inventing, and exploring the worlds of electronics and computers, generously lending his expertise to help others.
Beyond his professional achievements, Bill had a deep love for music, often singing and playing guitar for family and friends, bringing joy to gatherings with his melodies. He found peace and adventure boating and fishing in the waters around Long Island, teeing off on the golf course, and enjoying time with his neighbors. Bill lived with kindness, curiosity, and an unwavering devotion to those around him.
He will be profoundly missed but forever remembered in the hearts of all who knew him. A memorial service will be held in April in Tampa, with details to follow.
