Robert James Freedman (Bob), 95, of Charlotte, NC, passed away on January 23, 2024. He spent his life and career in Florida as a manufacturer's representative for Dixie Bedding, Bassett Furniture and Universal Furniture until his retirement. Years later he relocated to Charlotte to be closer to family.
Bob was a loyal friend and patriarch of the family; he loved life and lived it to the fullest. He was a proud 32nd degree Mason and a Past Master of his lodge, an avid water skier, as well as the "MacGyver" of the family, always willing to lend a hand. He was known for his witty sense of humor, his masterful skill of storytelling and natural ability to light up a room. He spoke with pride in his voice and a twinkle in his eye when talking about his bride, kids and grandkids.
Bob is survived by his loving wife of 74 years, Florine, their three children, Linda, Susan, and Rick, six grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and one great, great grandchild. His family gathered to honor his legacy and celebrated the beautiful life he lived.
“There are special people in our lives who never leave us, even after they are gone.”-D. Morgan
