Philip John Perry Sr.

Philip was a proud Marine who carried the values of discipline, determination, loyalty, and perseverance throughout his entire life. He was a man who worked hard—truly hard—to provide for the people he loved. Whether serving his country in the military, working on a construction site, or spending his days in a card store, Philip never shied away from hard work. He believed in taking care of his family and did everything he could to give them a good life.

Philip was tough, strong-willed, demanding, and never afraid to tell you exactly what he thought. But beneath that tough exterior was a heart filled with love and care. Those who knew him best understood that his strength was often how he showed his love. He challenged the people he loved because he wanted the very best for them, and his family always knew they could count on him.

Philip was married to the love of his life, Regina Perry. Their life together was an important part of his story, and the love they shared remained a cherished part of his family.

Of all the things Philip accomplished in his life, nothing made him prouder than his children. He was incredibly proud of his four children and the people they became. And then came his grandchildren, who held an especially special place in his heart. If he was proud of his children, he was even more proud of his six grandchildren. They brought him a kind of joy and pride that was impossible to hide.

Philip was preceded in death by his parents, Grace Lanna Perry and John J. Perry Jr., and his beloved wife, Regina Perry.

Philip leaves behind his sister, Elaine Shown; his children, Philip Perry Jr.; Jennifer Skinner and her husband, Marc Skinner; Justin Perry and his wife, Elizabeth Perry; and Benjamin Perry; and his six beloved grandchildren, Isabella and Lexie Perry, Kerrin and Kylie Skinner, and Jackson and Emma Perry.

A celebration honoring Phil’s life will be held on Monday, September28th at 12:00 pm at St John Neumann Catholic Church, 8451 Idlewild Road, Charlotte NC, 28227.

His family will remember him for his strength, his determination, his hard work, his unforgettable personality, and, most of all, the love he had for them. Philip spent his life providing, protecting, teaching, and loving in the way he knew best. His legacy lives on through his children and grandchildren, who will carry a piece of him with them always.
