Lynette McCarter was born Lynette Gloria Goulet on July 16, 1939 to Amedee and Cecile Goulet in Hartford Connecticut. Lynette passed away on July 11, 2023 at the age of 83 in Monroe, NC with her loving husband at her side.
Lynette married her former spouse Francis (Red) Cassidy at the age of 18. They were married 23 years and had 5 children, Mark, Tori, Tracy Kelly and Shannon.
While living in Connecticut, Lynette was a stay at home Mom. When the couple started their own Electrical business, she ran the administrative and accounting side of the business. When Red went to work overseas the family moved to Florida to be closer to the Goulet family.
Lynette went to LPN school in Jacksonville and graduated college with an associate degree as a Registered Nurse at the age of 52. She worked many years as an RN at facilities in Jacksonville Florida and Boulder city Nevada. She loved clowns and even went to clown school to bring joy to patients at the nursing homes she worked at. Her passion for helping others led her to accomplish monumental things in her nursing field.
Lynette and Bobby McCarter were married on October 19,1991. They enjoyed 32 loving years together at the time of her passing. Bobby let her know every day how much he loved her, and they lived a joy and laughter filled life together with many adventures. They shared their home with their many fur-babies over the years. She loved her kitties and living in the country on her property in Monroe North Carolina.
Her legacy to cherish her in loving memory are her beloved husband, Bobby, her sister Janice, her children and their spouses, Mark, Tori (Joe), Tracy, Kelly (Rick), and Shannon (Brandon), eight grandchildren, Zachary, Dylan, Robert, Eric, Bria, Ciara, Rita and Erin, and three great grandchildren Elowyn, Grayson and Finn.
