Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection and the life: he that believeth on me, though he die, yet shall he live; and whosoever liveth and believeth on me shall never die.
A Life Well Lived
On August 13, 1960, Jana F. Evans was born in Amityville, NY to Gladstone Sr. and Bernadine. As the only girl, Jana was the youngest of three children. In 1978, Jana graduated from Amityville High School and in the early 1980’s, relocated to California. While living and working in the Bay Area, Jana met Keith Johnson in August of 1982 and they were married in December of 1984. Together, they lived a wonderful life with their two children in San Jose, CA. Jana worked a career in the High Technology field for many years and eventually transitioned to North Carolina in 2021. Jana was a dedicated wife and mother. She loved to entertain friends and family, whether it was one of her Christmas open houses, summer Leo parties, or just another weekend, Jana made everyone feel loved and welcomed. As a wife, she always made sure to spend time with her husband Keith. Together they loved to watch movies, basketball games and often travel together. Jana and Keith took their promise to stay together always very seriously. Jana as a mother and grandmother was very special. Her children and granddaughter were her world. She always made sure she attended all of their events, every birthday and holiday was memorable and Jana always gave them unconditional love at all times.
Jana’s sudden passing leaves behind her devoted husband Keith, son Reginald, daughter Kortney, and granddaughter Karsyn. She is also survived by her brother Garrett, mother in law Juanita, and several nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends. To say Jana will be deeply missed is an understatement.
Acknowledgements
Perhaps you sent a beautiful card or sat quietly in a chair. Maybe you sent those lovely flowers that we saw sitting there. Perhaps you spoke a few kind words as any friend would say. Maybe you weren’t there but you prayed for us that day. Whatever you did to console our hearts we appreciate you so very much.
