

Jill lived a life filled with warmth, dedication, and deep affection for her family and friends. She was a talented quilter who found great joy in piecing fabrics together. As a member of both the Piecemakers Quilt Guild and the Optimist Quilting Club in Denver, North Carolina, she shared her creativity, stitched lasting memories, and formed deep friendships. Her beautiful quilts and her resilient spirit will leave a lasting memory in the hearts of all who knew her. One of her remarkable quilts with a US Flag pattern was made to honor her parents, WWII Navy Chief Jack Jarvis and Edith Jarvis. It can be viewed at the DeLand Naval Air Station Museum, where it is on permanent display in the Love and War collection, next to her parents’ wedding photo.
She is reunited in death with her partner of over 25 years, Terry R. Mathis and her dearest friend, Patsy Burke. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Edith Jarvis, her grandparents, Nick and Helen Larweth, her brother Frank Jarvis, and her grandson, Austin N. Holsomback.
Jill is survived by her children, Christina Greeneltch (Kristie), Stephanie Trese (John) and Katy Greeneltch. She loved her grandchildren, Carrieann Hubbard(Garret), Nathan Greeneltch (Leiann), and was blessed to have 10 great-grandchildren She also leaves behind her dear brothers, Charles Jarvis (Marlene), and John Jarvis (Gerry)
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Jill’s honor to the SPCA she loved so dearly.
