Jerry is survived by his beloved wife of 41 years, Katherine Cartwright; children Elizabeth Wagstrom, Jonathan Wagstrom (DiAnna), Eric Wagstrom (Janet Lofquist), and Ingrid Schwan (Len); eight grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren; his siblings Robert Wagstrom, Barbara Fitzmaurice, Carol Anderson, and Joanne Watson, and their children. His memory will be cherished by the Cartwright family, including 3 sisters-in-law and 4 nieces and their families.
Jerry was an Army veteran and a proud patriot. He grew up in Minneapolis, MN, and had ties to friends and family there throughout his life.
After serving in the Army, he was a pioneer in the early days of computer development, working for Control Data Corporation, Westinghouse, and Bell & Howell. Later, he and wife Katherine ran a computer consulting business, followed by The BigKeys Company which manufactured and sold computer keyboards that Jerry had designed for disabled persons.
Jerry was a brilliant problem-solver, with a curious mind, prodigious intellect, and a big and generous heart. He was not one to speak of his emotions, but his family and friends were sure of his love and support.
Jerry is deeply missed by his family, and lives on in the many many happy memories of our lives with him.
