Born on October 8, 1948, in Clifton Springs, New York, Dave served his country with pride as a United States Air Force Veteran and went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. But it was in the roles of husband, father, and grandfather where Dave truly found his calling.
Dave was a devoted and deeply present family man — the kind of dad and grandpa who showed up for every game, every activity, and every moment that mattered. He had a genuine enthusiasm for sports, both as a participant and a passionate spectator, and nothing brought him more joy than cheering on the people he loved. When he wasn't on the sidelines, you could find him tending to his beloved gardens and lawn, or around the table for a good card game. His faith was unwavering and contagious, quietly shaping all who were fortunate enough to be near him. And while he loved his family and friends with remarkable passion, the center of his world was always his wife, Kathy. Married for 55 years, his adoration for her never dimmed.
Dave is survived by his wife, Kathy Facer; his daughter, Rebecca McCoy (Michelle); his son, Joshua Facer (Anne); his grandchildren, Emma and Abigail Edling, Jamie Sturlaugson, and Brighton, Brier, and Abriella Facer. He is also survived by his brother, Robert Facer (Rebecca); his sisters, Betty Biery (Daniel) and Ann Odell (Peter); and many cherished nieces and nephews.
Dave's legacy — his love for family, his faithfulness, and the warmth he brought to every room — will live forever in the hearts of all who knew him.
