David Ray Busey

David grew up in Eugene, OR, graduating from Sheldon High school in 1975. David was proud to have served in two branches of the military, the US Navy and then the US Army. Following his military service, he moved to North Carolina where he found joy in classic cars, drawing, classic rock, the outdoors and making people laugh. His dedication as a truck driver for Schneider spanned 22 years with an impressive record of safely driving for 2 million miles. David went on to successfully drive for Harris Teeter for 6 years

David leaves behind his wife of 44 years, Elissa, their three children: Christopher (Nicole) Busey, Steven (Rachel) Busey and Andrea (Jeremiah) Simcik, 13 grandchildren, Mother Joanne Busey, brother Robert Busey, sister Christie Busey, his devoted fur baby Riley, friends, and countless others whose lives were touched by him. David was preceded in death by his father Robert Richard Busey.
