Carolyn Dale (Burch) Pickelsimer

Carolyn Burch Pickelsimer was born October 8, 1949 and passed January 31, 2023. She dedicated her life to her family, and to helping others. She retired from Caromont Health after 41 years in the operating room as the Cardiothoracic Coordinator.

Predeceased by her husband Douglas Pickelsimer, she then started work at Bayada home health where she was awarded the ’22 Hero RN Award, in honor of Florence Nightengale’s work ethic, compassion, dedication, and reliability on the battlefield. Prior to this, she worked at Covenant Village caring for Alzheimer’s patients for 8 years. She always said she was the richest woman in the world, meaning in love abundance. She loved her children, daughter in love and grandchildren more than life itself.

She is survived by Daughter Karen Rollins Millwood, Son Brian Rollins & wife Misty. Her Grandchildren, Ethan Rollins, Emerald Rollins, Zander Rollins, Aiden Millwood, Ava Millwood. Her Sister Linda Abernethy, Sister-in-Laws, Faye Burch, Betty Smith & husband Colin, Brother-in-Laws Joe Pickelsimer, Bob Pickelsimer as well as a number of nieces and nephews she held all dear to her heart.

A Celebration of Life will be held at: Catawba River Antique Mall 406 Catawba St. Belmont, NC 28012 On Saturday, February 4th, 2023 we will receive friends and family from 1:00pm – 2:30pm, Celebration of Life 2:30-3:00 pm
