Anthony "Tony" Francis Troisi

Tony was born in Atlanta, Georgia, on December 26, 1953. He attended school in Atlanta and graduated from Cross Keys High School in 1971. He became involved in building and construction work at an early age, developing a passion for the building trades that would remain with him throughout much of his career. He later moved to Gastonia and eventually to Charlotte, North Carolina, where he lovingly lived with and cared for his father and stepmother.

Tony found great joy in life’s simple pleasures. He enjoyed reading, home improvement projects, gardening, and playing and watching golf. He was an avid watcher of Jeopardy!, faithfully followed the Carolina Panthers NFL team, and loved tinkering with his old Chevy truck. Tony also made his faith in Jesus a priority, worshipping at his local Catholic Church. He will be remembered for his gentleness, kindness, quiet strength, and peaceful acceptance of the trials he faced throughout his life.

Tony was preceded in death by his mother, Katherine Troisi, in 1960; his father, Dominic Troisi, in 2001; his brother, Vincent Troisi, in 2024; and his nephew, Greg Bean, in 1994.

He is survived by his sister, Katherine Bean and her husband, Tom, of Blaine, Tennessee; his sister, Christine Williams and her husband, Wayne, of Atlanta, Georgia; and his brother, Timothy Troisi, of Atlanta, Georgia. He is also survived by two nieces, three nephews, and seven grandnieces and grandnephews, all of whom will cherish his memory.

A Memorial Mass will be held at a later date at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, with Reverend Peter Pham serving as celebrant.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to St. John Neumann Catholic Church, Charlotte, North Carolina, or to the American Cancer Society.

Tony’s memory will live on in the hearts of his family and all who knew him. He will be remembered for his kind spirit, his love of family, his faithful heart, and the quiet grace with which he lived his life.
