Thomas was born on March 3, 1944 to John and Elizabeth Pacconi in Highland Park, NJ. He
was the youngest of 7 siblings.
In high school Thomas was a championship boxer and Javelin thrower. He and his Dad loved
both sports. His dad was his biggest supporter. He and his dad also loved going fishing
together. His mom was “famous” for her roasted cabbage soup and they shared enjoying that
tradition every Sunday for the rest of her life.
He met his high school sweetheart Christine Gruninger, the love of his life. They attended both
Junior and Senior Proms together and were married in 1966.
Thomas was an extraordinary businessman. He was Vice President of sales for Lloyd’s
electronics by the age of 22 and then went on to start and build his own successful company
Thomas Pacconi Classics. He was supplier of the year for both QVC and Home Shopping
Networks. Thomas retired in 2018 and he and his wife Christine of 60 years enjoyed being
foodies together.
His greatest legacy aside from his beloved family is his donation to St. Peter’s Hospital in NJ
that was in the amount of 1 million dollars to build their critical care wing. The wing is named
The John and Elizabeth Pacconi wing in honor of his beloved parents.
Thomas spent the last years of his life with his beloved wife Christine, his only daughter Gina
(who he named after his favorite movie star, Gina Lolobrigida) and beloved granddaughters
Ruby Joy and Sophie Grace Ketchum. They loved going on ice cream runs, watching funny
movies and baseball. He loved strawberry milkshakes, sports games and Frank Sinatra.
He lived an amazing life and always did things “his way” surrounded by love.
