Thomas Edward Bell Jr., 76, passed away peacefully on August 12, 2023 in Nashville. A celebration of Tom’s life will take place at Symphony Memory Care Center, located at 1020 Harmony Hills Drive, Franklin, TN on August 23, 2023 beginning at 3:00pm.
Tom was born in Salisbury, MD and lived most of his adult life in Pensacola, FL. He graduated from Niceville High School and following service in the military, earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of West Florida. Tom served as the Executive Director of the Northwest Florida Home Builders Association for many years, and later worked as a commercial real estate broker for NAI Pensacola. Tom enjoyed water sports, golf, snow skiing, and time spent with his family.
Tom had the personality and natural charisma to make friends, no matter the circumstances, and liked nothing better than a good laugh. Tom was meticulous about his appearance, and always put the needs of others before his own needs.
Tom was predeceased by his parents, Tom and JJ Bell, and by his sister, Patty Wrench. He is survived by his loving and caring wife, Wendy McKee, his sister, Mary Jean White, and a host of relatives and friends.
The family greatly appreciates the loving care that the staff at Symphony Memory Care Center provided Tom during the last two years of his life, and the loving care provided by the staff at Alive Hospice in his final days. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, Alive Hospice, or a charity of your choice.
