Shirley Ann Gray

Shirley Ann Gray, 86, of Whites Creek, TN and formerly of Green Valley, AZ and Palms Springs, CA; passed away on Wednesday, December 11th with her loving baby sister, Tina by her side. Daughter of Mother, Avon Culwell Gifford, she was born July 15, 1938 (a birth date she shared with her deceased husband, William Gray).

Ms. Gray was an educated business owner, social club leader over the course of her lifetime, she had a diligent work ethic with everything she did. She was an avid gardener, golfer and loved socializing with friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her two sons, Martin Myers & Michael Myers; siblings, Emily Diane Gifford Elliott & Randy Otto Gifford. She is survived by siblings, William Earl Hannah (Peggy) & Alice Faye "Tina" Gifford Smith; as well as granddaughter, Trisha Myers.

Cherished and celebrated for her strong and independent spirit, a woman ahead of her time, matriarch to her family, role model to many. Gracious, loyal, loving, funny and kind-hearted. She exhibited elegant grace and bestowed exemplary kindness towards all whom she encountered.

In keeping with her wishes, Ms. Gray will be cremated and no services will be held. A life celebration was held in her honor amongst immediate family and friends. May she be in peace and maintain an ever-present place in all of our hearts.
