I just visited Joliet West High School yesterday and found out your Mom had passed. She was a Librarian with me for many years and I so enjoyed her.  I retired 10 years ago but do so like the memories that come to life when I enter the building.  I would so love to walk those halls with her and hear her comments about the "remodeling" of the facility - even I cannot explain all the technology that is present.  

I will keep her and all family members in my prayers.

Corrina and Rosalind,
I just learned about your mother's passing yesterday. I am so sorry to hear this sad news. I met your mom at 50 forward's exercise class.  I was new to the area and asked her where she got her hair done. She recommended Mary, and when I went for my hair appointment yesterday, I asked about your mom,and Mary teared up while telling me the sad news. Ann was a mystery in our exercise class, showing up every once in a while. Our teacher, Kelley Shannon, even jokingly called her a spy.  Ann invited both my husband and me to the family property. She was so proud of her family and spoke so lovingly of you both and her beloved grandchildren. I'm so glad that I was an acquaintance of hers. Rest in peace, Ann.

She once gave me a lovely edtion of " Little Women" and "Little Men" for Christmas. I still have them and enjoy reading them and thinking of Ann. She also since each of my children books that quickly became cherished favorites. What a generous and lovely woman.

I'm very sorry to hear that your mother has passed away.  Though I've not seen her for some years, I remember her very fondly at family gatherings. She was so interesting and fun to visit with. I remember her bringing genuine gold, frankincense, and myrrh for us to see at Grandma's one Christmas. And, of course, I'll never forget our stay at her and Johnny's country home in or near Wamego. I remember that all of us cousins gathered in a room with Ann one night to tell ghost stories in their old house that was perfectly suited for that. Something startled one or more of the older girls, and all of a sudden we were all piling up at the doorway, screaming our heads off, and unable to escape,  possibly from Johnny scaring us at a window. This probably happened before both of you were even born.  I'm sure that all of us who were old enough remember that night! That particular memory always brings happy thoughts of that time to me.
