Marcy Pendarvis Towson

Marcy Towson of Spring Hill, TN passed away on July 14, 2023 at the age of 70 after a four and a half year battle with cancer. She was born to her loving parents, Bie and Wilma Pendarvis, on April 3, 1953 in Tampa, FL where she was raised. She later graduated from Chamberlain High School in 1971, and worked as a dedicated and loving wife, mother, and homemaker.

Marcy was preceded in death by her grandparents, George and Mildred Miranda, and father, Clarence “Bie” Pendarvis.

She is survived by her husband, David Towson, daughters, Ashley [Joe] Carpenter and Whitney [Jonathan] Jones, grandchildren, Sam, Joey, Simon, Abby, Mason, Hope, and Levi, mother, Wilma Pendarvis, brother, Jeff [Pam] Pendarvis, aunt, Elizabeth Turner, niece, Amy Hardy, and nephew, Ryan Pendarvis.

Her family and friends remember her selflessness and her deep love for others. She greeted everyone with hugs, kisses, and a smile. She could start conversations with complete strangers and make a friend for life. Her hands were rarely still as she was always making something beautiful. She was skilled at gardening, cooking, painting, knitting, and many other crafts that she would often give away to friends and family.

The family would like to thank her many friends and neighbors for the care and compassion they showed Marcy in her final days. The visits, phone calls, text messages, and prayers lifted her spirit and brightened her days.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service at Shelbyville Mills Baptist Church at 900 Union Street Shelbyville, TN 37160 on Saturday, August 19, 2023 at 11:00 AM

Family and friends may gather after the service in the fellowship hall of the church to eat and spend time together.
