I met Joe about 15 years ago through my work.  He was the type of person that immediately made the room feel lighter and more joyous as soon as we met.  I was fortunate enough to work with him a handful of times in the years after that.  He remained the kind, happy, upbeat person every time I saw him.  He always greeted me with a friendly smile.  He was the type of person that seemed to make everyone feel like they were special,  even as he was dealing with illness and getting closer to the end.  

My condolences to Jim and all of your family.  My thoughts are with you during this difficult time.

Dear Jim and family of  Joe.
     Joe was a beautiful soul, filled with great humor and light and love and many gifts he shared with those who knew him. I will miss him so much and feel sad that he could not overcome the cancer. We only get so many trips around the sun. I think his journey was cut short. He will be missed . I light a candle for Joe and try to feel within that flame his light and love. Heaven has gained a beautiful soul. I pray for Joe's loved ones for peace and healing. I will always remember Joe and his happiness he shared.
