

Franklin Delano Murdock (Floe) of Lawrenceburg, Tennessee passed away Friday, October 10, 2025 at the age of 90. He was born on July 22, 1935 in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee and grew up with 6 loving siblings. After his folks moved to Toledo, Ohio for work, he graduated from Scott High School in Toledo in 1953. They moved back to Lawrenceburg while Frank stayed in Michigan and married Virginia Allman. He worked as a Union Representative for General Mills, worked as a disc jockey for the very first Country Music radio station in Toledo and toured Vietnam entertaining troops with a comedy/musical act during the war. After the brief tour, he moved his family to Lawrenceburg, TN in 1968 and started his own business. Murdock also began a lifetime career in law enforcement with the Lawrenceburg Police Department.
Staying active with his guitar playing and singing, especially at family reunions, he also enjoyed living on the Tennessee river.
He was preceded in death by his, second wife, Clara Arcane Brown Murdock, his parents, Walker and Ada Belle (Van Pelt) Murdock, siblings J.W. Murdock, Elizabeth Belew and Frances Miller.
He is survived by his son, Steven Murdock, his wife Rebecca and daughter, Tammy Alsup, her husband Steve, four grandchildren, Kama Murdock, Teagan Murdock, Haley Alsup and Ashley Alsup, two great grandchildren, Lydia and Dane. His immediate family also includes brothers, Larry, Gary and his sister Connie Evans.
