Deborah K Setliff of Cookeville, TN passed away on September 10 2026, at the age of 75. She was born on November 22, 1950, in Baton Rouge, LA. where she grew up. Once she earned her doctorate from Louisiana State University (LSU) she then moved to Cookeville, TN to become an education professor at Tennessee Tech University (TTU)–here she developed students to become future educators of the world.
She was actively involved in several reading organizations in Tennessee and America, because she had a strong passion for all people to read in Tennessee, America and the world.
She is survived by her children, John R Setliff Jr, his wife, Elsa Setliff and their three children Ethan, Jannah, and Elora Setliff. And Adam Setliff and his life partner, Ashley Nuchols and their child, Ava Setliff.
There will be no service just cremation.
