David Thomas Albert, (“Papa David”) of Nashville, TN passed away on September 3, at the age of 79. He was born on February 20, 1942 in Cookeville, TN where he grew up the youngest son of Inez and Andrew Albert. Their family was instrumental in establishing rural Sunday School classes all across the Upper Cumberland plateau.
David graduated from Tennessee Technological University with a degree in Business Administration, and worked as a computer systems analyst and IT consultant for 45 years.
He remained actively involved in church and civic groups throughout his lifetime.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Inez and Andrew Albert of Cookeville, TN, and his brother Terry.
Mr. Albert is survived by his loving wife, Sara, sons Todd Albert and wife Jean Marie, Chris Albert and wife Lucretia, and Christopher Adams and wife Lauren. Also, surviving grandchildren Andrew, Charles, Kristen, Greg, Trevor, Amanda, Jason, Charlie and Lizzie and great-grandson Gary.
David was a loving father and family man, and loved music, cars, and motor scooters.
A private family ceremony will be held at some time in the near future.
