Connie Sue Tate

Connie Sue (Faircloth) Tate passed away in her home on February 22, 2025, in Manchester, Tennessee. She was born on March 30, 1953, in Chicago, Illinois. After graduating from Dundee High School in 1971, Connie continued her education at Swedish American in Rockford, Illinois, where she earned a degree as a registered nurse.

Connie worked in several nursing homes throughout the Elgin, Illinois area before spending the majority of her career as a psychiatric nurse at Elgin Mental Health Center. Beyond her professional life, she found joy in spending time with her family. She loved playing card games, watching movies, shopping, and taking cruises.

Connie is survived by her husband, Benjamin F. Tate Jr., of Manchester, Tennessee; children, Megan Langlo (Eric) of South Elgin, Illinois; Tara Scheurich (Mark) of Crystal Lake, Illinois; and Michael Tate (fiancée Kim) of Lake in the Hills, Illinois. She is also survived by grandchildren Jaden and Aubrey Scheurich; cousin, Judith Broocke of Denver, North Carolina; and an extensive Tate family in Tennessee.

A private Celebration of Life gathering is planned for the summer in Tennessee.
