Carl was born in Richmond, VA to the late Grace McKay Nunnally and late Carl Luther Nunnally, Sr. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Virginia Tech and worked on his Masters at the University of North Carolina (Greensboro). After retiring from a career with AT&T and Accenture, he continued to work at Nissan and then BlackBox. Carl was a kind man who loved all things Atlanta Braves baseball and was an avid Virginia Tech Hokie fan. He was inducted into the Dixie Youth Softball Hall of Fame and, over the span of 39 years, he served in various roles for the organization, including as an officer in both Tennessee and Alabama. Carl loved his family dearly and was a dedicated husband and father.
Carl is survived by his wife of fifty-three years, Linda Campbell Nunnally; daughter, Stacy Nunnally and her husband Joel Wright of Murfreesboro, TN; two sisters and their spouses Anne and Danny Wilmoth of Hampstead, NC and Kay and Joe West of Wilmington, NC; niece Meredith West and her husband Tim Mountcastle of Falls Church, VA; three nephews Justin West and his wife Ginny West of Richmond, VA, Daniel Wilmoth and his wife Nicole Wilmoth of Philadelphia, PA, Sam Wilmoth and his wife Lynn Wilmoth of Atlanta, GA; 4 great-nephews and 4 great-nieces.
An informal celebration of life will be held on Sunday, October 27 from 2 to 4 p.m. at The Warehouse located at 730-A Middle Tennessee Blvd in Murfreesboro, TN. A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, November 10 at 3 p.m. at St. Barnabas Episcopal Church located at 4836 Cascade Street, North Chesterfield, VA.
