Ron worked in the HVAC industry for many years, and spent the latter part of his career at the Salt Lake City Airport, until his retirement in 2012.
He is preceded in death by his Mother, Karma Bogdan and brother, Todd Corbitt.
He is survived by his Wife, Jill, his children; Melissa (Justin) Eckhardt, Nick (Amber) Corbitt, and Kellee (Adam) Curfew, along with 2 grandchildren; Taylor and Grace which he adored, and many granddogs!
Born and raised in SLC, Utah, Ron married his best friend, Jill Kennedy on December 8th, 1973. Together they enjoyed traveling and living in new places, which over their 50 years of marriage included Utah, Texas, Florida and Idaho. Ron had many passions in life, but he had a deep love for science, technology, and anything mechanical. He loved being in his garage; building, creating and fixing anything he could, and his ability to quickly improvise when necessary was absolutely impressive. He was smart as a whip and had an incredible memory, which could be a bad thing if you ask his kids! He had a great sense of humor and got a kick out of making people laugh, you could always count on smiling when you were around him. Ron was always making friends wherever he went; he enjoyed engaging in deep conversations with strangers, even if it meant boring his kids to death so he could hear all about this newfound friend’s life. He had a tremendous love for all animals and never said no to one of his kids bringing one (or two) home! Ron took pride in teaching his family important life skills, but most of all he taught them how to be strong, independent people, and was always proud of what they could accomplish. He was kind, generous and genuinely big hearted.
The family would like to thank St. Luke's Medical Center in Meridian and Keystone Hospice for the care and compassion they showed our loved one in their final days. Thank you to all of his Physicians for the exemplary care he received.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life in Salt Lake City, date to be determined.
In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in his honor to your local animal shelter or any animal rescue of your choosing.
Ron had such a huge heart and so much compassion, he will be missed dearly.
