Nina “Frann” Thomson of Boise, Idaho passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 5, 2024 at the age of 87. She was born on February 18, 1937 in Kinston, N.C. Frann was raised in Durham, N.C. and was the second of seven children born to Ruth and Robert Lee Leathers. She graduated from Durham High school in 1956.
Frann worked for the US Department of the Interior in the Bureau of Reclamation for over 20 years and retired in 1996. In retirement, she enjoyed painting, drawing, needlepoint, and knitting. She also was an avid reader and had a vast collection of books.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Richard LaVern Thomson in 2001 & her first born son, Rick Thomson, a very talented artist that passed away in 2016. She is survived by her son, Monty Thomson, of Boise, ID, her daughter, Cindy Thomson of Liberty Lake, WA, and her grandson, Cameron Thomson and his wife Vanessa, as well as two great grandsons, Dante and Leo as well as their extended family and friends.
