Marcia Elaine Anderson

Marcia was born to Frank and Margaret Helikson in Evanston, Illinois on March 26, 1947.

She graduated from Corral High School in Barrington, Illinois in 1965 and studied Art at Temple University.

After college, where she became quite the artist, Marcia spent 3 years in Guam and Bangkok, Thailand. This sparked a passion for traveling. Marcia had an amazing life filled with adventure and travel. She traveled to over 50 countries, including Africa, China, Russia, Australia and many other countries in Europe. She had a love of art and architecture. Marcia had an eclectic collection from all the countries she visited. Many of her treasures are shared with family and friends with very fond memories.

Marcia was always career driven. She was a top-tier managing sales associate for Princess House Crystal and later Park Lane Jewelry.

Marcia went on to be a top realtor in the San Diego area until she retired in 2018 when she moved to Boise to be closer to family.

Unfortunately, Marcia has spent the last few years with many medical challenges. We are thankful she is at peace with no more pain. We will all remember Marcia during her prime - Full of Fun, Happiness, Love, Beauty, Life and Enthusiasm.

She is survived by her son Danny and wife Karin, her daughter Carey and husband Chris, 5 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, her sisters Carol, Jan and brothers Mark and Scott.

Marcia loved the ocean in San Diego, the lakes, and rivers in Idaho. She enjoyed reading, playing dominos and cards at her neighborhood community center, gardening, shopping and most of all spending time reading to and playing with her great grandchildren.

The Family would like to extend our gratitude and thanks to Idaho Home Health & Hospice and A Better Solution in Home Care for the care and compassion they showed our loved one in her final days.

Marcia has family members and friends in many different areas of the country mourning her passing at the same time celebrating her life. We will honor her with a small gathering of close friends and family in Boise (date to be determined) as well as her wishes of a final resting in San Diego with friends and family (date to be determined).
