Jeanette Peters

Jeanette Peters of Nampa, Idaho passed away on March 14, 2023, at the age of 85. She was born on November 6, 1937, in St. Paul, Minnesota where she grew up with her parents and seven siblings. On August 22, 1959, she married and had two daughters. In 1971, the family moved to Orange County, California. In September of 2022, Jeanette and her husband moved to Nampa, Idaho with their daughters and son-in-law.

Jeanette worked as a manager and later as an administrator in property management for approximately 40 years for the Irvine Company in Orange County, California.

She was actively involved in her church and with her family and friends. She was known for her excellent cooking, baking, and hosting of many fun events.

She was preceded in death by her parents Said and Anna George and her sister Shirley Jacobson.

She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Eugene Peters; her daughters Dianne (Sam) Martinez and Beth Peters; her granddaughter Elizabeth Martinez; and her siblings Tom (Roberta) George, Joe (Terri) George, Jerry (Jennifer Giovinazzo) George, and Ron (Judy) George as well as Joanne (Joseph) George and Ann Marie (Mark) Germain; and many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank all the nurses and staff at Nampa’s St. Alphonsus Medical Center, especially in the Intensive Care Unit for the care and compassion they showed Jeanette in her final days.

A Catholic funeral mass and reception are being planned in her home state of Minnesota. A Rite of Committal will take place at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery in Orange, California followed by a reception. When details are available, they will be posted on Jeanette’s CaringBridge webpage.
