Arleen Dessie Martinez

Arleen was born on December 16, 1948, in Caldwell, Idaho, to Phill and Arleen Joyal. A loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, Arleen cherished time spent with her family and friends.

Her strength, brilliance, and kindness were constant in the lives of those she loved. Arleen was truly one of a kind, loving, generous, and full of charm. Her presence lit up every room, and her absence will be deeply felt. She leaves behind a legacy of love, resilience, and cherished memories that will live on in all of us.

Arleen is survived by her three daughters, Katherine Martinez, Olivia (Travis) Compton, and Amanda (Zach) Daniels. She also leaves behind five grandchildren—Justine Martinez, Travis (Sarah) Compton, Christopher Chiatovich, Marian Compton, Cash Daniels and her adored great-grandson, Hudson Compton. Arleen is also survived by her brother, Ron Joyal. She was preceded in death by her beloved sisters and brother, whose memories she carried with her always.

The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff at Boise Cascadia for the compassionate care and love they gave Arleen. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the American Red Cross.
