Deahdra “Dee Dee” Scarano was one of six girls born in Birmingham, Alabama, to Mae and Jim Tyler (Mama and Papa). She had one child, Philip Donley, and then later moved to Los Angeles, California, where she worked as costumer in the film and television industry. Dee Dee was well traveled in her life, as her career and adventures took her all around the world. She later retired to Melbourne, Florida, where she wrote a book about her life in “Hollywood,” Behind the Seams.
Dee Dee is preceded in death by her mother, father, her sisters; Jimmie Faye Beauregard and Raba Coggins. She is survived by her son, Phil, her sisters; Eunice Davis, Kaye Fulbright, and Brenda Davidson, as well as her nieces; Denene, Lisa, and Shannon, and nephews; Glen, Bill, and Greg. Dee Dee also leaves behind a host of other family and friends too numerous to list.
A celebration of Deahdra’s life will be held on February 28, 2026, at Mount Olive Alliance Church, 1270 McCravy Lane, Mount Olive, Alabama. Visitation will be from 10:30 – 11:00 AM with service to follow immediately after.
In lieu of flowers, the family is suggesting a donation to your favorite charity, Parkinson’s related organization, or church.
