Robert Gabriel Razura

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Robert Gabriel Razura, known to friends and family as Bob. He died on August 20, 2026, with his family by his side in Redwood City, California after a courageous year-long battle with Lymphoma. He had just celebrated his 88th birthday.

Bob was born on August 10, 1938, in San Francisco, California to parents Gabriel and Elena (Helen)Razura. A proud San Franciscan, Bob graduated from Balboa High School with the class of 1956. Bob proudly served his country in the United States Navy. His service took him to the South Pacific, where he was stationed during the historic era of atmospheric atomic testing. He went on to attend City College of San Francisco, where he earned an Associate in Arts degree in Graphic Design, laying the foundation for his future career. Bob dedicated over 40 years to the printing industry, honing his craft as a pressman at several companies before achieving his dream of becoming a business owner. He possessed a masterful knowledge of the entire printing trade—a passion so deep that he even set up his own working printing press in the family garage.

Bob was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Pat, who was his best friend and the absolute love of his life. Together, they shared a beautiful marriage just shy of 60 years. They raised their four children in San Bruno, in a close-knit community where neighbors became like family. He was a wonderful father, exemplifying strength, determination, and dependability, anchoring his family with a calm and loving nature. In later years, Bob loved his role as ‘Papa’, beaming with pride for his six grandchildren. Retirement brought a new chapter as Bob and Pat moved to Cameron Park. Over two happy decades, they created new friendships and enjoyed life’s simpler pleasures - from visiting local wineries to quiet hours spent on their deck taking in the view. Their home was always filled with love during frequent family visits. They ultimately returned to the Bay Area in 2020 to be near their children.

A true handyman, Bob could fix anything and even built additions to the family home. In his later years, he traded his construction tools for gardening shears, cultivating a passion for the patient art of bonsais and succulents. Bob was a true San Francisco sports fan, spending decades cheering on the Giants and 49ers, proudly tracing his loyalty back to the days of attending games at historic Kezar Stadium. Thanks to his wife’s airline benefits, he has fond travel memories, from exploring Europe and South America to relaxing in Hawaii and setting sail on numerous cruises.

To know Bob was to love and respect him. He had a rare capacity for empathy, always ready to listen without judgment and support without hesitation. Though he is gone, he leaves behind a legacy of unconditional love, quiet strength, and pure selflessness.

Those left to cherish his memory include his four children and their partners, Donna and Al Garcia, Susan and Dan Torres, Rob and Carla Razura, Jeff Razura and Laura Mason, and six grandchildren, AJ, Marcus, Nicole, Julianna, Isabella and Naomi.
