John Robert Rauch

Jack Rauch passed away on July 27, 2026 of heart failure. He is survived by his wife, Nancy and brother, Bill Rauch. He taught History and Social Studies in middle school in the South San Francisco Unified School District for 37 years. He was in the Army stationed in Germany from 1970 to 1972.

He was a member of CTA and the California Council for Social Studies. He was a member of the National Field Archery Association (NFAA).

He had a Masters Degree in History from the University of Notre Dame De Namur in Belmont.

He loved books, ideas, art, poetry, the 49 ers and poker with his friends.

He was a member of SEA Episcopal Church in San Bruno for 30 years.

As a member of the San Francisco Archery club, he was instrumental in fostering the love of archery for hundreds of children and adults through the Outreach program.
