Born in Tacoma, Washington, Freddy spent nearly his entire life in San Francisco, the city he proudly called home. A devoted fan of the San Francisco 49ers and the Golden State Warriors, Freddy rarely missed a game and cheered for his teams with unwavering passion.
He was the beloved youngest son of Fernando and Magdalena Mendoza, and the cherished baby brother of Larry, Gloria, Corazon, Shirley, George, Reynaldo, and Vicky.
Freddy was a proud and loving father to Freddy Jr., Starla, Jonathan, Leslie, and Magdalena, and a deeply adored grandfather to Alyjia, Ariel, Maya Lani, Jimmy Jr., Trinity, Jainalyn, Gianna, Joey, Jayden, Jaeliana, Jonathan Jr., and Kingston.
Known for his big heart, his stubborn streak, and his charismatic presence, Freddy leaves behind a legacy of love, loyalty, and unforgettable memories. He dedicated more than 20 years of service to the City of San Francisco as a senior programmer at City Hall, a role he carried with pride and commitment.
Above all, Freddy’s greatest source of pride was being a MENDOZA—a name he wore like a badge of honor and celebrated at every opportunity. His absence leaves a profound void, and he will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved him.
