Chris was a supportive helper at the DRC. He helped me convert my books into digital copies. He will be missed forever.

Chris has been an amazing supervisor, friend, and father figure to me. He was a wonderful person. I remembered the first time I met him. He would always get me a cup of hot chocolate and snacks. He encouraged me in every decisions I made. I’ll miss you always.

Chris was one of my first friends when I first started at Skyline. He was kind and was always available to answer questions that I had.  He would give me information and resources and I felt really grateful for his guidance.   He was a kind, generous and light hearted person and I will truly miss him.   My prayers are with his family.

I was shocked and deeply sad when I learned of Chris's death.  During the time I worked with Chris at Skyline College I always knew of him to be "Student first".  He had a good sense of humor and always did whatever I asked of him.  He was also a champion of classified staff which I admired. Dear Chris, I’m still in shock and disbelief from learning about your passing. It was just yesterday that I found out about it. We’ve known each other since 2002 while working as DRC Alternate Media Providers for the two campuses, College of San Mateo and Skyline. I’m going to miss your friendly nature, your jokes, your strong desire to help all of us who have had the privilege to have worked with you and your openness to show your vulnerability. I’ve shared a picture that Chris sent to me August 2024.  Read the sign under it. That was Chris.  He was proud to be representing us in the Union to help us get the best benefits we could. I was deeply saddened to learn of Chris’s passing. It feels far too soon—especially after just seeing him during our last Flex Day. With tomorrow's Flex Day at CSM, I had been thinking about stopping by to say hello and finally visit his office. The news is truly shocking.

Chris had a wonderful sense of humor and a genuine way of making people feel welcome. Even after my role took me out of the union, he continued to check in with me and share updates. When I was new to my position—transitioning from a Student Assistant an opening as Treasurer became available —he was incredibly generous with his knowledge and guidance. I also fondly remember seeing his lighter side during the CSEA Christmas Luncheons.

Chris’s kindness, warmth, and willingness to support others left a lasting impression. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing and working with him. My thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends, and colleagues during this difficult time.

Dear Christopher,

I was deeply saddened and shocked to hear this news. It came so suddenly, and my heart is heavy for you and for everyone who knew and worked with you.

When we spoke before the 2025 winter break, you mentioned you were unwell, and I never imagined it was anything more than a seasonal illness. I truly regret that I didn’t have the chance to see you again after your move to CSM. Still, I’m grateful that we stayed in touch and were able to support one another through our work and the challenges that came with it.

You were an exceptionally knowledgeable and reliable person, especially on union matters, and your guidance meant a great deal to me. Your absence will be deeply felt, both professionally and personally. You left far too early.

Please accept my sincere condolences during this difficult time.
