Born in Montluçon, France, Bernard built a 40+ year career with Hewlett Packard that took him around the world and brought lifelong friendships. In Singapore, he met his beloved wife, Yoke Ping, before returning to France to welcome their daughters, Jocelyne and Corinne. He cherished mountain life and passed on his love of skiing and hiking to his family.
In 1996, Bernard moved his family to California, where he continued to enjoy the outdoors. After retiring in 2012, he devoted himself to travel, community service, and time with his family. He volunteered with Sustainable San Mateo County, earning the 2024 Ruth Peterson Award, and served more than 10 years as president of the HP Retiree Club.
Bernard will be remembered by his wife and two children, as well as numerous other family members and friends.
